(A)Challenge
Crafting a user interface that is both intuitive and immersive for a VR mindfulness experience.
Balance simplicity with functionality, the UI needs to allow users to easily select and customize their mindfulness tours without breaking the immersive experience and preventing motion sickness.
(B)Approach
The color scheme consists of calming greens and grays, which have been selected to reduce visual strain and promote relaxation. Interactive elements are kept to a minimum, ensuring users can easily navigate the app with minimal cognitive effort. Icons are designed to be clear and self-explanatory, using universally understood symbols for core functions.
In terms of performance, the app ensures smooth transitions and fast response times to prevent discomfort, with a lightweight design that does not hinder performance.
(C)Outcome
The app is currently in development, with the initial focus on creating a concept design that demonstrates its core vision and functionality. The client requested a prototype to showcase the potential user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for the immersive VR tours, with an emphasis on promoting relaxation and well-being.
While the app is not yet fully implemented, the concept design serves as a foundation for further development, offering insights into the intended visual language, navigation flow, and overall interaction design. This prototype allows for feedback and refinement before advancing to the next stages of development, ensuring the final product aligns with the client’s goals and provides a seamless, engaging experience for future users.
